DTC2 is a software for Windows to deactivating or deleting DTCs from an ECU Flash Dump, it allows you to remove individual error codes from the ECU. Additionally, it allows you to export the DTCs to a text (.csv) file for comparison with a modified file. The software also includes a function to export DTCs from MEDC17, EDC16, MED9, ME7, and MDG1 to an A2L file, which can be used in other software like WinO**, etc. Furthermore, it has a comparison function that enables you to compare two files."

How to install it!

First of all you need an Account on this page: https://sw.dunt.at/

This Webpage is the licensing Service for the DTC2 Software.

create Account:
Once you have created an account and confirmed your email address, you can log in to the website.

activate License:
Before using the software, you must activate your license on the website. On the website's menu, navigate to the Licenses page. On this page, you can click the "Ask for Trial" button. After 0-7 days, you will receive a trial license and a notification via email, as long as you do not have a second account or have violated the general terms and conditions.

download and install Software:
On the website's menu, navigate to the download page, where you can download the DTC 2 software if you have an active license. The software can be installed on your Windows PC, it is recommended to use Windows 7 or Windows 10 with 32 or 64-bit and to have NET Framework 4.7.2 or higher installed.

In the Windows software, navigate to Info -> License and enter the same login information used on the website. Perform a "Test" to ensure the license is valid. If the license is OK, you can register the hardware by clicking the "ACTIVATE THIS COMPUTER" button. This is a new feature since version v0.57. Trial users can only use the software on one computer. The hardware activation state will also be shown during the test. After hardware activation, save and close the window. You can now use the DTC2 software until your license is active. The hardware activation can also be viewed on the web panel in licenses. You can also delete hardware activations to use them on another computer, but this can only be done once every 6 months and within 15 days of the activation. It is not allowed or possible to use the same PC for multiple accounts.

HW License

The DTC2 software work only if you are connected to the internet! Some Antivirus Programms can block it.

China users: there may be problems with the Great Firewall. You’ll have to solve these problems by your self.

How to use it!

With the DTC Preset Function you can switch off a couple of DTC which you often need. You can control the to be switched off DTCs over a TXT file. Some Example DTC Presets are on the install path.

This is for mod files where DTC2 can not find the offsets (you need working ori file)


On AC Delco ECUs (current supported E78, E83, E87, E98) the DTC Table is not stored in the Data Area. The problem is most Tools special over OBD not read the full file. I made now a online DB with DTC tables. Is a partial File dedected the Software ask you to search on Server for a correct DTC Table. A list with matching DTC Tables is showing you. Now you can select the right DTC table based on the SW numbers or the Car/Engine Info. In the first column you can se The CRC of each Table. So you can easy see if files Have Same DTC Table. In rare cases where you have more diffrent DTC tables with diffrent CRC's to select you need to look at the additional info or even try it out.

FAQ

First Sorry, there are more users than I ever expected so also more e-mails what I expected.

I general DON'T answere to E-mails:
What are NOT written in German or English! What ask for a DTC off or other modification from a not suported File. (I'm no fileservice.) From users they write me every hour an e-mail for the same thing. Please understand I'm not 24/7 online!

For all other if you get no Answere after 5-6 Days please write me a reminder. Also since march 2022 I have a new Ticket system on the web panel where a contact should be easier.

There are some security features what can block your license. But this users mostly know why they are blocked ;)

Most blocks are caused because false ticked upload Files from the Software. Only uplod files for the used Protocol!!!
I'am not here to check your files and excuses like the file was given to me by my customers as EDC17XYZ I don't give a fu**. You call you "Tuner" or "ECU Specialist" so I assume you should know on which ecu you are working.
BTW. You also acepted on uplod Form that you uplod an original file with the correct protocol. If you ask nicely and it's the first wrong upload, an unblock may be possible

Also if you file don't work only one Ticket is necessary not 4 uplods and 3 E-mail. If you uplod it i will check it as soon as possible!

In ECU you can only deactivate ECU Errors!!! No ABS, BCM, Light etc. Errors (Yes from time to time I get such questions)

Some ECUs have a "slave" module most time Adblue ECU like DCU17CPXX what have a own DTC table! So you read AdBlue DTCs from the ECU but cant find them in DTC2 Software. So if you make AdBlue off pay attention to the correct application of the solution if there is somthing like "diconect Adblue Modul".

On VAG and VCDS don't always believe the DTC description. Also deactivate the MAN Code.
Example:
16619 - Ladedruckregelung
P0235 - 000 - Regelgrenze unterschritten
If you don't found P0235 search for 16619.

On BMW DTC Codes often displayed with 3 Bytes, search only first 2 Bytes:
Example:
12BB01 - Oxygen Sensor After Catalytic Convertor
12BB01 dont't found search for 12BB.

Since 30 Sep. 2021 some Users can’t use the DTC2 Software anymore. This is only if you have an old Build of Windows 7. You can open the software but not process a File. If you go to Info -> License -> TEST you only get the text “waiting for Server connection...” and nothing more.

The problem is NOT Server or Web related it is the „old“ version of your System! Maybe you read in some media from an expired certificate! This is the DST Root CA X3 certificate what is expired at 30 September 2021. Link

First of all Ask for Trial (Licenses -> [Ask for Trial]) and test it. Please be patient and wait until you get the confirmation email. Multiple Emails/Tickets etc. will not speed up the process. Rather the opposite. If you are convinced of the software after 10 days, open a ticket and ask for another license. Please note the FAQ and the Terms & Conditions.
